The course was interactive, enjoyable and informative. It was a very good starting point to a vast subject and helpful to get managers to think along the right lines and share useful techniques and best practice. An ideal balance of presentation, activities and discussion, I would recommend this course to other businesses who would like to up-skill managers to spot the early signs of stress and have the confidence to start that important conversation with employees.
West Midlands Fire Service have commissioned Altruist Enterprises to deliver Mental Health First Aid training to staff across various departments. I attended the 2-day Mental Health First Aid course and found it of great value. Having experienced some of the issues we discussed, I found it difficult at times but I'm so glad I did it. I'm already putting it to use and making a difference to someone. The course was delivered at a nice informal pace. There was enough time for questions and discussion and the trainer made herself available for private questions too. There was also plenty of humour! I would recommend this course to anyone. After all, we all know people experiencing some form of mental ill health.
