The Strategic Enabling Team (SET) recently took part in the Mental Health First Aid Half Day course, delivered by Altruist Enterprises. The course provided a very helpful overview of mental health and highlighted key topics such as how to approach someone, signposting and how both managers and employees can cope in a pressurised working environment. Content was relevant and enjoyable and delivered in a professional and sensitive manner by the instructor. Toolkits and supporting booklets will certainly be a useful reference point. An excellent course!
We have had the pleasure of working with Altruist Enterprises over the past 12 months. The company has supported our implementation of Paragon’s employee mental health well-being commitment. This included the delivery of the Mental Health at Work Train - the trainer programme to colleagues in the HR and Learning and Development functions. All that attended the training found it to be engaging, interactive and extremely beneficial. Time with the Altruist trainers was invaluable as they were both happy to explore topics in detail and provide helpful insights. The useful content, workbooks and exercises provided essential information and enabled delegates to reflect on their learning. The assessed task gave delegates the opportunity to ‘try things out’ and receive feedback to develop further. I have no doubt that those who attended will now be well equipped to deliver the Mental Health at Work course to our managers effectively.
