As the way we work continues to change, there is an increasing demand for accessible, flexible and engaging training solutions that meet the needs of the modern workforce.

Virtual training sessions are ideal for remote workers and packages are available for your management population and the wider employee base. We offer the following virtual training sessions.

  • Mental Health at Work: Managers
  • Mental Health at Work: Colleagues
  • Resilience and Stress Management

The courses take the following form:

  • Part A: E-learning – Individuals will complete a 30-minute e-learning course to introduce them to the topic. All delegates receive a downloadable worksheet for further reference, along with a certificate of completion. E-learning is accessed via the Altruist Academy.
  • Part B: Webinar – Individuals will take part in an interactive 2.5-hour webinar via Zoom. This includes discussions, delegate engagement via polling and break out rooms and Q & A sessions. Delegates receive an electronic workbook to aid learning and guide them through the training. Webinars are delivered to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16 delegates at a time.
Mental Health at Work: Managers Virtual Session Course Outline

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Define mental health and some mental health issues
  • Complete Stress Risk Assessments using the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Management Standards
  • Understand how certain behaviours may influence/affect team members during periods of stress e.g. organisational change
  • Recognise some of the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health
  • Feel confident in starting mental health conversations
  • Take steps to improve personal mental well-being
  • Identify and implement practical approaches to support colleagues

Resilience and Stress Management Virtual Session Course Outline

  • Assess their own mental well-being and resiliency skills
  • Define resilience and identify personal stress management techniques
  • Look in depth at the causes of stress and create a plan to manage and reduce them
  • Build resilience using evidence based approaches
  • Use strategies to better deal with pressure and change
