Top 5 Work Nights Out

A cohesive office is a successful office. Socialising outside of work is a great way to gain cohesion within a team, allowing your staff to work together more effectively.

More than just this, it’ll increase the well-being of your team. Employees with a greater well-being will work together better, be less stressed and will therefore be more productive. A happier team with an enriched social life will be more content in their role, and therefore feel more engaged with their work.

A good work night out will promote some competition and interaction between colleagues.

Five great examples of work nights out are:

1. Escape games

There are a number of different escape games in cities across the country. These are a great way to increase team work. Escape games involve solving challenging puzzles as a group in order to escape from a locked room before your time is up.

2. Go-karting

Go-karting facilitates inter-team competition, which not only brings the team closer, but helps team members see that a bit of competition is never a bad thing! Who in your office has a need for speed?

3. Comedy night

A comedy night is a great laugh for everyone. With most comedy nights having a string of different comedians in the line-up, you can guarantee there will be something for everyone. With all the shared laughs your team will have, everyone will feel closer, enabling them to work better as a team (you may even pick up a few good jokes).

4. Ten-pin bowling

Who doesn’t remember going ten-pin bowling as a kid? Everyone did it when they were younger and it’s still a great activity to do. You can split into teams or departments to compete against each other.

5. Going out for dinner or drinks

Going out for dinner or drinks is a little bit more casual than the other options, but it’s still a great way to unwind after work and really get to know the team you work with. The better you get on with your team, the more likely you are to support each other.
