Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) London April 2020

Our next public 2 day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course in London will be taking place on Monday 6th & Tuesday 7th April 2020.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a 2 day in depth mental health awareness course, approved by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH). On completion of this training, candidates are certified as ‘Mental Health First Aiders'.

Day 1: Monday 6th April

Day 2: Tuesday 7th April

Time: 9:15am - 4:00pm each day

Location: Radisson Blu, 130 Tottenham Court Rd, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 5AY

Lunch and Refreshments: Will be provided on both days

Cost: £300 + VAT per delegate. This cost includes MHFA Manual, Workbook, Action Plan 'Z card' and Certification.

The course will teach participants to:

· Spot the early signs of stress and mental health problems

· Prevent mental health problems from getting worse

· Feel confident in helping someone experiencing a problem in the first instance

· Guide someone towards the right support

· Create an open forum where stress and mental well-being problems can be discussed

Jasmine in a dedicated Marketing Assistant and Mental Health Facilitator with excellent creative and communication skills. She is also a Mental Health Advocate who seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health through journalism and has recently been published by The Huffington Post. Jasmine is extremely passionate about Youth Mental Health and Employment. She is currently launching a podcast for Altruist UK entitled, 'Millennials, Mental Health and Making Money' which will include open and honest discussion regarding the impact of the Youth Mental Health Crisis on employment. Jasmine is currently completing an MSc in Global Ethics and Justice with The University of Birmingham. She has particular interests in how mental ill-health effects social justice, as well as Epistemology, Political Philosophy and Gender Ethics. Jasmine also enjoys writing creatively, practising yoga and cooking as part of her emotional self-care.
